PayTag Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-18 · beta. Plain language on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
1. What PayTag is
PayTag turns a description into a small tool you can use on your phone and share when you choose: a task list, a scoreboard, an order board, a schedule. It keeps your rows, runs the rules you agreed to, and lets an AI you already use (or ours, Tag) work inside your account as you. PayTag is in beta: it works, it is watched, and it will change.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or use PayTag with a parent or guardian.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your sign-in is yours.
- One account per person or business. You may invite crew or another owner from inside the app.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or harms other people or the service.
3. Your data is yours
- Rows, tools, stories, menus, messages and files you put in PayTag belong to you. We use them only to run PayTag for you.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models.
- You can remove a tool at any time from its own page. Account deletion and a full export are on the way; until then, ask and we will do it by hand.
4. AI in your account
- When you ask Tag, or connect your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT and the like) to PayTag, your request and the data needed to answer it are sent to an AI provider to produce the answer. Providers we use process it under their own terms and do not keep it to train on, as far as their published policies state.
- A connected AI acts as you: it can read every table, add and change rows, make and change tools, change your public menu and send texts, with a receipt for every change and undo. You can revoke it at any time under Connect → AI keys.
- Beta allowance: up to 200 AI requests a day and 2,500 a month per account. Past that, PayTag says so and waits for the next day or month. We may raise or lower these limits with notice in the app.
- AI answers can be wrong. Rules the kit enforces are enforced; anything marked "not enforced" is a reminder, not a guarantee. Check money, dates and messages before you act on them.
5. Texting
- Texts sent through PayTag's number carry a beta allowance of 300 a month and 60 a day per account, which you can change in the app within limits we set. If you connect your own Twilio account, their terms and pricing apply.
- You are responsible for having permission to text the people you text. Anyone who texts STOP will not be texted again by PayTag until they text START, and you cannot override that.
- No spam, no scams, no texts to people who did not ask to hear from you.
6. Sharing and templates
- A tool is private until you share it: by the QR you show, or by its link. People who join see only that tool's pages, as themselves.
- If you list a tool as a template, its pages and rules become public and anyone can copy them onto their own account. Your rows and your people never go with it. We may unlist a template that is misleading, harmful or infringing.
7. Payments
PayTag can record orders and payments and connect to payment processors you set up (Square, Stripe, PayPal, XRPL). Those processors hold the money and their terms apply. PayTag never takes a payment on its own: a tool never charges anyone.
8. What you may not do
- Break the law, or help someone else do it.
- Put other people's private data in PayTag without the right to.
- Probe, overload or attack the service, or try to reach another account's data.
- Resell PayTag or pass it off as your own.
9. Beta means beta
PayTag is provided as is, without warranties. We back up data and watch for errors, but we cannot promise it will never be down or never lose anything. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last three months, which during the beta is nothing. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Changes and ending
We will change these terms as PayTag grows. A change in substance gets a new version date and a note in the app; keeping your account after that means you accept it. You can stop using PayTag at any time; we can end the beta or your access with reasonable notice, and we will give you your data first.
